Precision Assembly

Working on a custom basis, Opticology will devise a means to assembly and align your optical systems. We design and build all assembly fixtures and working with you settle on the final requirements that will govern success.

Miniaturized systems present a challenge in that they are generally too small for fasteners to be used and therefore require holding components while micro-positioning and bonding in place with appropriate adhesive. Alignment of any optical system is critical and the specialized tools and processes we develop allow for repeatable product.

Opticology routinely performs feasibility and design studies, concept evaluation, and builds mock-ups of optical systems. We provide a reasonable, fixed price quotation for this work that defines the engineering tasks and specifications that typically produces design candidates, drawings or a physical model. Ask about our Innovation Services for a discounted hourly rate for 20 hours of design time. We often are approached with an idea, a concept, or a product in need of an improvement. Since

typically not well defined, we work with the customer to define specifications and performance requirements.
